Hillingdon SEND Outreach Programme Information Session

Following on from Graham Cunningham's (headteacher of Meadow) presentation at the Head Teachers' Termly meeting in June, we are pleased to invite you and your colleagues to an online information session on the proposed SEND Outreach Offer for Hillingdon's primary schools. This will be held on 7 September 2026 at 3.30 pm. 

The outreach offer will include: 

  • Free support for schools (1 day per primary school) 
  • Access to 12 training sessions per year 
  • Online resources, including videos, podcasts, and practical materials 
  • Expertise from specialist SEND practitioners 
  • A focus on building staff confidence and inclusive practice 

The approach is collaborative rather than directive, helping schools develop sustainable SEND provision that benefits all learners.

Marketing Session for Sustainable Wraparound Childcare

Due to the success of our marketing training for primary schools in April, we are pleased to offer another opportunity to join us for a practical, hands‑on training session designed to boost your confidence in marketing, increase engagement with families and help your provision thrive.  This is in person training, venue will be confirmed shortly, to be held on Wednesday 14 October, 9:30 to 11:30 am. 

What you'll learn: 

  • How to market your wraparound offer effectively 
  • Strategies to increase uptake and long-term sustainability 
  • Understanding your audience and communicating what families value most 
  • Practical tools and templates you can use straight away 

Who is this for: Primary Head Teachers, School Business Managers and governors.

Looking for something free and positive to get involved in this summer? Join our Targeted Team programmes designed to build confidence, connections, and life skills in a safe and supportive environment. 

  • Self-Esteem Summer Project, Mixed gender group, Ruislip Young People's Centre, Bury Street, Ruislip HA4 7SX on 27 - 29 July 2026 ,10 am - 3 pm. A supportive space for children and young people to build confidence, develop self-esteem and explore their strengths through engaging activities and group work. 

  • Connect This Summer (Drop-in), Mixed gender group, Harlington Young People's Centre, Pinkwell Lane, Hayes UB3 1PB on 11 August 2026 ,10 am - 3 pm. Explore the Hillingdon Youth Offer, take part, and stay connected with activities (such as cooking, craft, sports), games and opportunities to engage, socialise and build on your skills.
