Attendance Support Officer

I have worked in the Education Sector for over 20 years in both further and secondary education, and my focus and greatest satisfaction has always been in seeing students succeed. There are not many jobs out there where you can play a part in changing a person's life for the better, which is why this sector is so rewarding to work in.

Prior to joining the Attendance Support Team, I worked as an Attendance Officer in a secondary school and fully understand and appreciate the demands, complexity and importance of the role. From my experience as an Attendance Officer, I know that optimising pupil's attendance to support attainment, safeguarding and ensuring that they access their full educational entitlement is impossible if it's down to one individual. It takes support from families, carers, colleagues, agencies, and the Attendance Support Team.

In my current role, I aim to keep playing my part in seeing students succeed by working closely with those that need the support and guidance that I can provide.
