School Census Update As you know, this Autumn's School Census is open. We still have 14 schools who have not submitted any data, 5 that have loaded their data but have not resolved issues and submitted their return. There are 15 schools that have submitted their return but still need to fix their issues. Overall, we have encountered 120 query issues, 51 of those have been "ok'ed" by the DfE. A return cannot be approved by us until all queries either have data corrected or acceptable notepad entries supplied. The common queries are still reports 4015 and 4007. Please run the reports listed in the Reports query listing. Every census we ask you to enter notes for these as "4007Q - Confirmed as correct", and "4015Q - Confirmed as correct". The DfE will not accept anything else. Again, please enter 1 note per query. Thank you for cooperation. Marc Sherman, Business Intelligence Team

Talk Pants Week (13th-19th October 2025) This is a national campaign that helps children understand that their body belongs to them, and that they have the right to say no and speak out if something does not feel right. This is a great opportunity for us all to reinforce the Talk PANTS message with children, families, and communities across our work. Please take a few moments to read the Talk Pants Week briefing for more information about local activities, key messages, and how you can get involved. You can also access a wide range of resources online to support your conversations with children and families:
Thank you for continuing to champion this important message and helping to keep children safe.

School Food Contract Support School Food Matters have been awarded funding to provide free webinars, training sessions and resources for primary schools to help them manage their school food contracts. First, they need to find out what would be most useful to you! If you are involved with your school meal service, please take part in a five-minute survey to tell School Food Matters what works (and what does not) when it comes to catering contracts. And there is a chance to win one of ten £200 vouchers, so it is well worth the effort! Complete the survey here The webinars, training and resources that follow will support Hillingdon's Strategic Priorities for school food (Primary Schools), which align with the Hillingdon Education Strategy.
