Jason Hughes

I started teaching in the mid-90s in Croydon. I have held numerous roles across schools, ultimately serving for 7 years as a senior leader in a special school. Since then, I have utilised my 11 years' experience of inspection and leading inspections for OFSTED. My most recent roles have included supporting schools in preparation for inspection, as a school improvement advisor and as a PGCE lecturer for the London Metropolitan University.

I have also worked as a local authority consultant supporting the delivery of the National Strategy in mathematics as well as roles supporting school improvement.

School improvement is fundamental to my role and I consider a child centred approach to be the key.
