Muntaha Mahmood

Before joining Hillingdon, I have experience in the background of working with families, children, and schools for seven years.  As a Children Missing in Education officer, I have been able to use my previous experience as a primary school teacher to work in an environment that is passionate towards ensuring all children are receiving a sufficient, full-time education.

My passion of working with children has allowed me to approach this role in a different working and thinking. As a Children Missing Education Officer, my main role is to carry out checks to track and identify children missing education, liaise with schools, other boroughs, and agencies. Following procedures and policies in line with education standards is key in ensuring I am meeting my goals and targets. This role has allowed me to see education from a different angle and perspective which I believe that this has allowed me to become more educated in making certain judgements and decisions related to my role.
