Regina Käfler

Since having joined Hillingdon Virtual School as a Virtual School Officer in May 2021, I have had the privilege to work to support vulnerable Looked After children and young people to reach their educational goals and raise their aspirations.

Prior to my current role as a Virtual School Officer, I was responsible for championing the needs and education of over 200 Looked After and Care Leaver Learners, Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children, those with Special Educational Needs and those at risk of becoming NEET in a Post-16 setting.

I hold a BA in Education Studies and an MA in Applied Anthropology, Community and Youth Work, and have since gained additional qualifications including becoming a Youth Mental Health First Aider, gaining a Level 3 Safeguarding Qualification. I have also attended a variety of Attachment, Trauma and County Lines training opportunities, in order to be better able to advocate and provide support for our Looked After children and young people and their education.
