Alternative Provision
As you will be aware, the new Ofsted framework for SEND inspections has brought Alternative Provision into much sharper focus than ever before.
In light of this, we have reviewed our information, advice and guidance relating to Alternative Provision, including the development of a quality assurance framework which can be used by all education settings when commissioning placements in Alternative Provision.
All updated information can be found under the Alternative Provision section on LEAP.
Perspective Lite/Broadcast Plus
Following last term's Head Teachers' Termly meeting where we introduced you to Perspective Lite and Broadcast Plus, and the subsequent product demonstrations, we have decided to go ahead with the purchase of Broadcast Plus.
The purchase plan we have arranged is £99 for 3-years usage. Shortly our Finance Team will send out invoices to each of the schools. Product roll-out is easy, a simple flick of a switch. Training will be provided to schools; this will differ depending upon the education phase.
This July primary schools will benefit in their submission, management and progress overview of early years attainment scores reporting to us. You will be able to track progress and the reliance on S2S will be removed.
Secondary schools can upload their KS4 results and immediately be able to compare their results to their peer schools in the borough. The more schools that have their data uploaded the better the comparison. Immediately after uploading you will be able to see Attainment 8 and Progress 8 cores by pupils and for your school, pupil level results, subject level results - all on results day.
Both primary and secondary schools will benefit from the "Watchsted" functionality where you can search your inspector to see their previous findings, see summaries of their recommendations for improvements, and which schools within Hillingdon they have inspected. You can use Watchsted to produce infographics ready of your census data ready for the inspection.

Empathy Day
Hillingdon Libraries are pleased to present a very special event to celebrate Empathy Day:
EMPATHY DAY VIRTUAL EVENT + Q&A With Rashmi Sirdeshpande and Rikin Parekh
For Years 1 and 2
On Tuesday 6th June at 10 am (45 mins )
Get ready for Empathy Day with this fun empathy-boosting event based around the picture book YES YOU CAN, COW. In this event, you'll meet a little Cow with a BIG fear. She's the star of stage show Hey Diddle Diddle but she's TERRIFIED of the grand finale. She doesn't think she can jump over moon! See how Cow's friends use empathy to help her find her courage and how YOU can be an empathy hero, just like them! Not only that - you'll get to learn how to draw Cow too! So get your paper and pencils ready! See you there!
Please email Sam Everett severett@hillingdon.gov.uk to book a space for your class/school.
