Leena Desai

I joined the School Placement and Admissions Team in 2022 having previously spent 7 years working in a Hillingdon community school, 5 years of which were as an Admissions Officer.  

My main responsibility as an admissions and allocations officer is overseeing in-year primary applications. This includes processing applications for in-year transfers into and between schools and making all in-year offers for all Hillingdon community schools in line with the Schools Admissions Code. This role has led me to build relationships with school admissions officers as we work together to identify whether pupil admissions and transfers can be accommodated for.  

I aim to ensure that every child in Hillingdon has been offered a school place.  

I am passionate about supporting Hillingdon and non-Hillingdon residents so that they and their families have a positive experience of the school admissions procedure.
