Natalie Augustin

Attendance Support Officer

I started my journey supporting vulnerable Children and Adults within the London Borough of Brent over 20 years ago, volunteering for a charity twice a week. This soon developed into a full-time paid position which I thoroughly enjoyed. Unknowingly, my passion grew, wanting to explore different roles and responsibilities within the Social Care and Education sector.

Over the years I undertaken numerous roles including Senior Team Leader, Mentor, Designated Safeguarding member, Welfare and Attendance Officer across various London Boroughs. These roles have equipped me with the knowledge, skills and tools necessary to provide high quality, holistic advocacy and support. I have championed the voice of adults, children, and young people in risky and challenging situations, including but not limited to potential school exclusions, homelessness, immigration issues, involvement in the Care System and in the Criminal Justice System.

As I begin my new journey for Hillingdon Council, I will continue strive to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people, to enable them to achieve the best possible opportunities and outcomes through inclusion, building resilience, equality, respect and ensuring the child voice is always heard.
