Vicky Wills
Safeguarding & Wellbeing Officer
My role is the Education Safeguarding and Wellbeing Officer, working across all primary, secondary, independent, academy and specialist provisions.
I started my career with a NNEB early years qualification, working in maintained, private and NHS environments with children in the early years age range. I worked whilst studying to gain my BA which then led to a master's degree in child Protection and Safeguarding adults. I have always had an interest in safeguarding practices, working within forensic mental heath environments for children and youth offending as well as supporting practitioners to work in the fast-paced environments such as early years nurseries and schools. I have worked within adult education for many years, training and encouraging wider learning around professional and qualification-based courses.
I have supported and led Ofsted inspections, been a head of centre for early years and nursery provisions as well as for a specialist provision for children with complex medical and learning needs and as a safeguarding and welfare early years advisor for a local authority.
