Casey Russell

As a Virtual School Officer I have the privilege to work alongside a great team of professionals who all work together to improve the outcomes for Hillingdon's Looked after Children. My responsibilities are to manage a caseload of young people ranging from 4-18 years old. I am very passionate about this role and feel that it provides great support to help nurture and improve each Young Person's educational experiences and outcomes. This  is achieved by ensuring each Young Person has an up to date, effective and high quality PEP that focus's on a clear educational plan. 

Prior to working at the Virtual School in Hillingdon my work has mainly been based around Primary Education helping to support and deliver the national curriculum. Throughout my time working in mainstream Schools I was very fortunate to be trained by Educational Psychologists to deliver ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) interventions to support pupils in school who may be experiencing temporary or long term additional emotional needs.  

I am very passionate about working with children and young people, helping them to build their confidence and reduce any barriers ensuring that they are able to achieve their full potential.
