Ofsted have published a research document 'Exploring moving to home education in secondary schools'. The web link for the full document and the summary document are attached.
Hillingdon Local Authority has created the attached procedure to acknowledge the recent recommendations made by Ofsted's research and the Children's Commissioners report 'Skipping School: Invisible Children.
Please ensure all relevant school staff are notified of the new procedure and complete the referral form as a matter of urgency, when a parent notifies the school of their intention to withdraw their child to home educate.
