Director's Message - 2nd April 2020

Dear Colleagues,

Today's update is SEND focused. 

Yesterday the DfE guidance on vulnerable children and young people was updated - please refer to the EHCPs section from point 21.

A Special Schools' Forum has been created to discuss children with SEND and those on EHCPs with Hillingdon special schools. The first virtual meeting will take place tomorrow, on Friday 3rd April 2020. 

Discussions will be centred around provision for those with EHCPs following the Easter period and what support is needed moving forward. We will continue to update all schools on the ongoing requirements. 

We are aware that many schools are operating a rota system to manage staffing. The DfE has updated their staffing section within their temporary closure guidance which schools may find helpful.
