Director's Message - 11th May 2020

Dear Colleagues,

Following on from the PM's announcement, the Schools' Strategic Partnership Board (SSPB) held a virtual meeting this afternoon to discuss the phased reopening of primary schools, beginning with Reception, Year 1 and Year 6. There is an ambition that secondary pupils facing exams next year will get at least some time with their teachers before the end of term.

SSPB will meet again on Wednesday afternoon to review any new guidance issued by the DfE and we will share this will all schools to support a boroughwide consistent approach.

In the meantime, the DfE has released new and updated guidance, which have been added to our FAQs. Today's new plan to rebuild recovery strategy is included in the FAQs updated guidance list, which also includes early years settings.
