30 hours Free Childcare

Schools who offer up to 30 hours of nursery provision to eligible children will be able to submit funding claims to the local authority from 1 September using the online Provider Portal. However schools are encouraged to check if children being offered these places are eligible before the current school term ends. This can be done at any time using the "Eligibility Checker" option on the Provider Portal. This will show if children are eligible and also when their eligibility code is due to end. If the "End date" is on or before 31 August, you will need to ask parents to reconfirm their eligibility with HMRC.
