Director's Message - 23rd October 2020
Dear Colleagues,
We have two updates to share before you break for half-term.
TfL's plans for School Services during and after the October half-term
TfL is planning to continue running additional school services on the bus network after the October half term until the end of the current term in December. School services would continue to operate similarly to how they have been in the first half of this term, with extra services running and up to half of all buses on certain higher-frequency routes signed as 'school services' during peak times for school travel. The full list of routes that have school services and additional services can be found at: https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/buses/bus-changes. Please note that, for the most part, school services will not operate during half-term (26 to 31 October). This will be subject to variations depending on local requirements.
If you would like to provide feedback or have any enquiries please contact: ReopeningEducation@tfl.gov.uk.
The National Tutoring Programme and webinar
From November, schools will be able to access support for children and young people who have been most affected by school closures during the coronavirus outbreak through the National Tutoring Programme. To register interest in joining this programme, visit the National Tutoring Programme website. The National Tutoring Programme is also hosting a webinar for schools on 5th November at 4pm that will provide an introduction to the programme and details on how schools can get involved. Have a good half-term break.
Regards,
Dan
