Make Your Mark 2020
Every year there is a "Make Your Mark" Ballot organised by British Youth Council and supported by Hillingdon Youth Council (HYC) within Universal Youth Service to provide young people aged 11- 24 a chance to communicate their concerns and have their say! The results are then used by elected MYP (Members of Young Parliament) to debate the following years manifesto.
Covid19 has made this exercise even more challenging by making 2020 Make Your Mark voting to be exclusively online.
Alternatively, please access the following link which provides more directions and other (more COVID friendly) links that can also be used but with the data being collected and forwarded by HYC.
Hillingdon Youth Council requests your support to encourage every pupil within your school to "Make their Mark"
The process takes no more than a couple of minutes for an individual when given a link or can be part of a group exercise to promote democracy and the right to vote. A possible option may be to use your school's social media platform. The ballot ends 30 November 2020.
The results will be made available for your awareness and possible use.
Further to the above Hillingdon Youth Council currently meets virtually on Wednesdays at 17.00 for an hour via Zoom calls and would welcome representation from your school to debate and influence local and regional activities that affect young people.
