Georgia Watson-Polack

Virtual School Senior Practitioner (Currently Seconded to Head of Access to Education)

I am a Senior Practitioner in Hillingdon Virtual School and the strategic lead for Key Stage 4 & Post 16. I have been part of the Virtual School for four years and enjoy the direct work we get to do with our children and young people, as well as developing relationships with other partner agencies and developing and implementing new strategic interventions to support whole-school priorities. The role provides the opportunity to champion change and promote better educational outcomes for Looked After Children and young people and Care Leavers.

As an education practitioner, I have 15 years' experience ranging from working as an HLTA to teaching ESOL and managing an inclusion unit. I also have experience of working in a Special Education Needs department and in-depth knowledge of Post-16 education and training pathways. My varied educational experiences led me to work in the Virtual School as it presents the perfect platform to continue to support vulnerable children and their educational journeys.

At Hillingdon Virtual School, I remain committed to supporting children and young people to gain the best outcomes from their education, enabling them to become successful individuals in their own rights. I am proud of the work we all do and the outcomes we continue to achieve. I am excited about the direction of our Key Stage 4 and Post 16 offer and look forward to developing our 18+ offer.
