Rochelle Isaac-Simon

Team Leader - Attendance Support Team

My journey in Hillingdon started as a volunteer with the Youth Offending Service whilst studying Criminology and Psychology at University. I then worked for a Charity, supporting children with disabilities and their families before returning to work in Hillingdon Youth Service as a Youth Worker for almost 2 years and then a Youth Support Adviser for 3 years. As a Youth Support Adviser, I worked intensively with young people to support them to access education, employment and training, whilst addressing barriers such as health and housing. I started working with the Attendance Support Team as a Participation Officer in 2015 supporting pupils, parents and schools to maximise learning opportunities through identifying support needs of the child and or family and referring or sign posting as appropriate. In 2017 I became one of two Court Leads and in 2018 I became Deputy Team Leader. Since October 2020 I have been one of two Team Leaders for the Attendance Support Team.

I have always been motivated to work with children and young people, helping to ensure that they and their families are equipped with the tools required to maximise opportunities and overcome life's hurdles. Having worked in Hillingdon for over 11 years, I have built good professional relationships with a range of services and agencies.
