Loralene Bain
Team Manager - Attendance Support Team
I have always had an interest in helping children, young people and families to improve their outcomes early on and to have the best possible advantages in life. At the beginning of my educational career I studied health and social care and then Social Policy and Human Resource Management at university. After a thirteen-year career in Human Resource management I still had my original yearning to serve our young residents.
In 2013 I made one of the best decisions to retrain and dedicate myself to work with Children and Young People that began with volunteering and gaining the relevant qualifications in this area. My years within Hillingdon involved working closely in unison with agencies and professionals in nurseries, schools and Children's Centres as well as supporting vulnerable learners with EHC plans.
My roles have consisted of working in Early Intervention and Prevention with Children, families and then in education as an Attendance Support Officer. My current role as one of the Team Leaders of the Attendance Support Team involves the overseeing of School Attendance and Enforcement. I have completed my qualification with The Institute of Leadership and Management that further assists the team in providing a service of excellence where putting our young residents first is paramount.
