The National Network for Children in Employment and Entertainment (NNCEE)
The National Network for Children in Employment and Entertainment (NNCEE) is an association of mostly local authority officers who have responsibity for the licensing of children of compulsory school age who are working part-time or talking part in performances and entertainment. Other organisations and individuals working in or with an interest in, the field of child employment and performance are also welcome.
The NNCEE has members from all over the UK working together to improve working conditions and safeguarding for children in employment and entertainment
The Aims of the NNCEE
- to offer mutual support
- to share good practice
- to promote and encourage safeguarding of all children who are employed or taking part in performances
- to offer a national voice
- to seek dialogue with government and other organisations about all issues affecting child employment and entertainment
- to promote an interagency approach
- to promote consistancy of practise nationally for local authorities and other organisations in the field of child employment and entertainment
