Tajinder Bhojani

I have worked for the London Borough of Hillingdon since 2010 and joined the School Placement and Admissions Team in 2018. Since working in the team, I have taken a lead in overseeing in year secondary applications and Junior allocations. Within this role I am assist with the administration of applications for mid-term transfers into and between schools within the academic year, this also includes liaising with school admissions officers and head teachers to identify whether pupil admissions and transfers can be accommodated for. I also ensure that any hard to place or vulnerable children are identified so they are presented at our Fair Access panels. I am also responsible for administering Junior applications and offering school places to junior school age children in accordance with the Council's published admissions policy and School Admissions Code.  

Through this role I have built strong relationships with admissions officers in Infant, Junior and Secondary Schools and I work closely with our participation team and interim provision. 

I am passionate about supporting our vulnerable children so that they and their families have a positive experience of the school admissions procedure.
