LA Schools' Governance Service Events for 2022/23

Following on from the success of last year's governor briefing sessions, the LA Schools' Governance Service has created a brochure of events for 2022/23 which you can find here.

We have organised 3 Service events and 15 different briefing sessions from key Council service areas.  These will be held over various dates throughout the next academic year.  The sessions will allow governors to gain a better understanding of the processes and the responsibilities of schools. Following on from the new KCSIE guidance, it is important to have as many governors attend the Safeguarding and Domestic Abuse briefing sessions as possible.

To view the brochure and book your place onto any of these events please click here.

Post 16 Options & Ideas Event - Secondaries, please share with Year 11 parents/guardians

Our first face to face Post 16 Opportunities and Ideas event run to support students who are Not In Education, Employment or Training (NEET) or at risk of becoming NEET was held last Thursday. It was great to have so many providers involved discussing a range of future pathways young people can take up with them.

The next event will be on 21st July 2022.  Any young person in Hillingdon aged 16 - 24 (25 with an EHCP) is invited to come along.

Please get in touch with Dale Hughes DHughes@hillingdon.gov.uk

Thank you to all of our school leaders and staff for your commitment and dedication this year, which is appreciated by the Council and our communities across the borough. We wish you all a restful summer break and look forward to the new academic year in September!

If you require any Council support during the break, please contact us via education@hillingdon.gov.uk.

Regards,

Education and SEND
