Youth Justice Strategy Consultation

The consultation for Hillingdon Youth Justice Services' 5-year strategy opened last week and will close on 11th August 2024. We are asking headteachers and governors to take a few moments to complete the survey and then circulate to your SLT.

We are also designing a child friendly version of the strategy so would appreciate if schools could print and encourage feedback from pupils also.

Please see link for the consultation: Have your say on Hillingdon Council's youth justice plans - Hillingdon Council

National Smile Month Competition Winners

I just wanted to say a 'HUGE THANK YOU' to all schools and childcare settings for sending out our National Smile Month Competition, 'LOVE YOUR SMILE' poster competition.  We have had a huge response with lots of wonderful posters full of information about how to take care and love our smiles.  Our team in the Community Dental Service had a very tough job of choosing our winners and after much deliberation I am very pleased to announce:

  • 1st Place - Botwell House Primary School
  • 2nd Place - Cherry Lane Primary School
  • 3rd Place - St Mary's Catholic Primary School
  • Runners Up - Meadow High School and a Childminder setting

All winners will have their prizes delivered to their schools/settings.

Blast! Online

Blast! Online is an online showcase, run by Hillingdon Music Service. It is an opportunity to share video performances of primary school classes playing whole class instruments. We would love to hear as many performances from your schools as possible.

This will provide an exciting end of year performance event for your classes and is also extremely helpful for the Music Service to see the product of your instrumental lessons. You will receive a certificate of participation to display in your school.
